The Town of Sodus may offer to its qualifying employees a cash payment in lieu of health insurance benefit owed, in an amount not to exceed the municipality's cost of providing such health insurance to officers and employees electing to receive such cash payment. To qualify for such benefit, an employee must be employed through the Town, qualify for health insurance through the Town as a condition of employment, demonstrate to the Town proof of other acceptable health insurance, and elect to receive cash payment in lieu of health insurance in the method and manner prescribed by the Town.
