City of Desoto, TX ARTICLE 11.600 TAXATION OF LEASED MOTOR VEHICLES

§ 11.601 Taxation of Leased Motor Vehicles.

(a) Pursuant to Property Tax Code Section 11.252(f) leased motor vehicles otherwise exempted under Texas Property Tax Code Section 11.252(a) are subject to ad valorem taxation beginning January 1, 2001.

(b) Beginning on January 1, 2002, motor vehicles that are subject to a lease entered into on or after January 1, 2001 as provided in Texas Property Tax Code Section 11.252(f) shall be levied upon and assessed ad valorem taxes due and payable to the City of DeSoto, Texas.
