(a) 
Permit Fee Schedule.
The following permit fee schedule shall be charged for the installation, addition to or alteration of the following:
(1) 
Fire Sprinkler Systems:
Underground: $250.00.
Aboveground
 
1–19 heads

20–99 heads

100–299 heads

300–1,000 heads
$500.00
An additional $1.00 per head for each head over 1,000.
Fire pump: additional $200.00.
High pile Storage: $200.00.
$100.00 shall be charged for each test exceeding one per permit. The testing fee shall be paid prior to conducting the test.
(b) 
Fire Alarm Systems:
1–10 devices
$100.00
11–25 devices
$20.00
26–100 devices
$300.00
101–200 devices
$400.00
201–500 devices
$600.00
An additional $2.00 per device for each device of five hundred (500). An additional fee of $100.00 shall be charged for each test exceeding one per permit. The testing fee shall be paid prior to conducting the test. Fire alarms should be full notification.
(c) 
Fire Suppression Systems:
$150.00 per system.
(d) 
Underground or Aboveground Storage Tanks (does not include temporary tanks or residential propane).
(1) 
$200.00 per tank for installation of or removal of underground tanks.
(2) 
$200.00 for the permit and inspection of underground piping.
(3) 
$200.00 per tank for abandonment of underground tanks/lines.
(e) 
Access Control Gates (across a fire lane
). The installation of or alteration of an access control gate across a fire lane or access road shall be $200.00 per gate. Access control permit fee for a building or office is $100.00.
(f) 
Open Burning/Trench Burning.
(1) 
$500.00 per day.
(2) 
A permit fee is not required for a campfire, flag retirement ceremony or similar event.
(g) 
General Inspections: $150.00.
(h) 
Foster Home Inspections: $100.00.
(i) 
Nursing Home Inspections: $300.00.
(j) 
Assisted Living/Group Home Inspections: $200.00.
(k) 
Boarding Home Inspections: $100.00.
(l) 
Adult/Child-Care Commercial Day-Care Inspections: $200.00.
(m) 
Residential Day-Care Inspections: $100.00.
(n) 
Hospital/Specialty Care Facility Inspections: $300.00.
(o) 
Mobile Food Vehicle Inspections: $50.00.
(p) 
Temporary Membrane Structures, Tents, and Canopies: $50.00.

A fee of $50.00 shall be charged for the following permits:
(1) 
Fireworks and pyrotechnics displays.
(2) 
Temporary aboveground tanks to include:
(A) 
Propane exchange stations.
(B) 
Residential propane.
(C) 
Temporary tank at a construction site.
(3) 
Sandpipes.
(4) 
Reinspections.
A $200.00 reinspection fee shall be charged for each reinspection of a fire alarm system, fire sprinkler system, fire suppression system, underground storage tank and aboveground storage tanks.

An investigation shall be made whenever any work for which a permit is required by this code has commenced without first obtaining a permit. An investigation fee, in addition to the permit fee, shall be collected whether or not a permit is subsequently issued. The payment of such investigation fee shall not exempt any person from compliance with all other provisions of this code nor from any penalty prescribed by law. The investigation fee shall be equal to the amount of the permit fee required by this code not to exceed $2,000.00.

A third party review fee shall be paid in addition to the permit fee where an impartial third party reviews a permit submittal and makes code-related comments. The third party shall be selected from a list provided by the Fire Code Official. The third party must have extensive experience and knowledge in the field to be reviewed. This review process shall also be utilized for permit submittals with fire system technology not normally permitted. The third party review fee shall be the cost of the review plus associated shipping or courier cost.

Inspections may be conducted after hours or on Saturdays at the request of a contractor if inspection personnel are available. The fee for such inspections shall be $250.00 per hour per inspector with a two-hour minimum per inspector.
