(a) 
An accumulation of trash on any property within this city by any person, owning or having under their control such property, is hereby declared to be a nuisance.
(b) 
It shall be unlawful for any person owning or having under their control any property within the corporate limits of the city to fail or refuse to remove or destroy an accumulation of trash on such property within ten (10) days after having been notified in writing to do so by the fire marshal or other person authorized by the fire marshal to give such notice.

(a) 
It shall be unlawful for any person or persons owning or having under their control any property within the corporate limits of the city to fail or refuse to remove indoor new or secondhand furniture on such property within ten (10) days after having been notified in writing to do so by the fire marshal or other person authorized by the fire marshal to give such notice when such indoor, new or secondhand furniture is not rated for outdoor use and is placed on the property within public view.
(b) 
Definitions.
Indoor furniture.
Furniture whether new or secondhand not approved specifically for outdoor use including, but is not limited to bedding, mattresses, bedroom furniture, formal and casual dining room furniture, upholstered furniture, home office furniture, entertainment centers, and infant and youth furniture.
New or secondhand furniture.
For the purpose of this section new or secondhand furniture is furniture not approved specifically for outdoor use including, but is not limited to bedding, mattresses, bedroom furniture, formal and casual dining room furniture, upholstery, home office furniture, entertainment centers, and infant and youth furniture.
(c) 
Exceptions.
(1) 
Any type of furniture or other debris or garbage when placed on the property side next to the street curb or street right-of-way for the purpose of solid waste collection and disposal by the city sanitation department. Such furniture, debris or garbage is not to be placed at the curb earlier than 6:00 p.m. the day before the scheduled collection day.
(2) 
Outside rated furniture including but not limited to lawn chairs, outside lounges, and other outdoors type of patio furniture so long as such is properly maintained and kept orderly.
