For the purpose of this article, the following definitions shall apply, unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning:
See “multi-family dwelling.”
Any structure that encloses a space used for sheltering any occupancy. Each portion of a building separated from the other portions by an impervious wall shall be considered a separate building or structure unit. For purposes of this article, a building shall include a dwelling, dwelling unit, residence, recreational vehicle and/or temporary housing unit.
Any field of endeavor or activity of a commercial or mercantile nature engaged in as a means of economic dealings. All such activities owned and operated by natural persons comprising a single family and operating within the confines of a structure unit or business unit shall be considered as one business.
The use of a separate building or structure unit for the purpose of a business or businesses as defined in this section.
A building occupied exclusively for residential purposes by one or more families and providing permanent provisions for sleeping, eating, cooking, and sanitation.
The use of a separate building or structure unit for residential purposes by a family and providing complete, independent, and permanent provisions for sleeping, eating, cooking, and sanitation.
An individual natural person or two or more natural persons related by blood or marriage and living in one dwelling unit.
Any building or portion thereof providing four or more separate dwelling units for residential purposes.

Any room or enclosed or demarcated area, or group or combination thereof, located within a building and occupied by a business or family other than the business or family occupying other parts of the building.
Any business that provides portable dwelling units for occupancy on a temporary basis.
Each structure offered for occupancy by a temporary housing business.
