(a) 
It shall be unlawful for any person to keep on any premises under his control within the city limits, any livestock in such a manner that the same will be located closer than one hundred and fifty (150) feet distance from any person’s living quarters, other than his own.
(b) 
Livestock shall be kept only as provided for in the zoning ordinance.
(c) 
It shall be unlawful for any person to keep any livestock in an area wherein there is less than five thousand (5,000) square feet for each animal so kept.
(d) 
The provisions of subsections (b) and (c) shall not apply to any property adjacent or property or acreage not subdivided or platted.
(e) 
Any livestock found running at large within the city limits shall be impounded by any peace officer or animal control officer. Upon such impoundment, written notice shall be given to the owner of the livestock, if known, stating the animal has been impounded. Such notice shall state the amount of the fees and costs which have accrued because of impoundment, the rate at which additional fees and costs shall accrue, the time at which the animal will be disposed of unless redeemed, and shall be signed by any peace officer or animal control officer and mailed to the last known address of the owner of such livestock. In the event any peace officer or animal control officer is unable to determine the ownership of livestock so impounded, he shall post such written notice at the city hall at least five (5) days prior to the date set for disposition of the animal, the notice required to be given to the owners known to any peace officer or animal control officer shall be deposited in the United States mail at least five (5) days prior to the time set by notice for disposition of the animal, and such notice shall be sufficient when posted.
(f) 
No livestock impounded by virtue of this section shall be released to the owner until all costs and fees prescribed by this section have been paid and until the person applying for the release of such livestock signs an affidavit that he is the owner of the livestock and entitled to possession thereof.
(g) 
If, after the required notice has been given, the owner fails to redeem an animal impounded within the time prescribed in such notice, any peace officer or animal control officer shall proceed to sell such livestock for the highest bid that he may obtain for the animal and apply so much of the proceeds of said sale to the satisfaction of the fees and costs accrued under this section, and shall deposit the remainder of such monies, if any, with the city secretary. Such money as may be deposited with the city secretary shall be subject to withdrawal by the owner, upon proof that he is the owner.

Any person or persons keeping livestock within one hundred fifty (150) feet of the private residence of another person, shall, upon notification by the animal control officer, remove said livestock within four (4) days from the time of notification.

It shall be unlawful for any person to permit or allow any cattle, horse, mule, jack, jenny, sheep, swine or goat owned or controlled by such person to run at large within the corporate limits of the city. Any person who violates this article shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Any such animal found at large within the limits of the city shall be taken up and impounded by the animal control officer who shall attempt to notify the owner thereof, if known. The owner may reclaim said animal upon paying the fine and other expenses of impounding and feeding said animal. If no owner can be found or if the owner refuses to reclaim said animal within five (5) days of its impoundment, it shall be the duty of the animal control officer to advertise the public sale of such animal for at least three (3) days. The proceeds from the sale of such animal shall be applied to the fines and/or expenses associated with the impoundment, care and sale of such animal and the remainder shall be placed in the general fund.

Fowl and rabbits shall be kept in a secure pen or enclosure that is at least thirty (30) feet from an inhabited dwelling, other than that of the owner, and such enclosure shall be of such construction and strength to keep said animals from running at large. Such enclosure shall be kept in sanitary condition at all times.
