The provisions of the 2011 National Electrical Code “NEC” relating to the inspection of electrical installations, investigation of fires caused by electrical installations, review of construction plans, drawings, and specifications for electrical systems, design, alteration, modification, construction, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems and equipment, regulation and control of electrical installation at special events including but not limited to exhibits, trade shows, amusement parks, and other similar special occupancies; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said National Electrical Code on file in the water and sewer superintendent’s office, are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof; as if fully set out in this section; and the provisions of the National Electrical Code are hereby extended to apply to the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.
