(a)
There
is hereby created the office of town marshal.
(b)
The
town marshal shall serve a term of two years ending in odd numbered
years.
(c)
The
term of the first appointed town marshal shall be for the unexpired
portion of the term ending May 31, 2001. Thereafter, the town council,
on or before May 31, on odd numbered years shall appoint a town marshal
in accordance with this act.
(d)
The
town marshal shall meet all requirements of law and shall execute
a bond conditioned on faithful performance of the official duties
required by the town council.
(e)
Compensation
shall be set by the town council.
