(a) 
Except as otherwise provided, no person shall work as a master electrician without a master electrician’s license.
(b) 
Except as otherwise provided, no person shall work as a journeyman electrician without a journeyman electrician’s license.
(c) 
Electrical licenses are issued by the state as prescribed by the state electrical safety and licensing advisory board.

No person shall allow the use of his master electrician’s or journeyman electrician’s license directly or indirectly by any other person for the purpose of obtaining a permit to do electrical installations. In addition to any other penalty which may be levied for the violation of this section, any person convicted of violating this section shall forfeit his license, and it shall thereafter be void.

(a) 
Bond.
If the applicant for a master electrician’s license is successful in the required examination, he shall obtain a bond from an approved surety company in the amount of $5,000.00, payable to the city and conditioned upon the applicant’s strict compliance with this division.
(b) 
Transfer.
A master electrician’s license shall be deemed personal and, as such, be issued to an individual, and shall not be assignable.
(c) 
Possession.
No person shall engage in the occupation of master electrician without having his current license in his possession.
(d) 
Firms, companies and corporations.
No firm, company or corporation shall engage in any business requiring the possession of a master electrician’s license without having a holder of such license in its employ.
