There shall be appointed by the city commission a clerk of the municipal court, and there may also be appointed such deputy clerks as may be necessary for the proper, efficient operation of the municipal court.

The clerk of the municipal court, and such deputy clerks as may be appointed, shall perform all the duties and have all of the powers bestowed upon clerks of municipal courts by state law.
Any clerk or deputy clerk so appointed shall act as the official clerk of the municipal court and perform all acts incident to such office.
