The rules of practice and procedure as prescribed by state law governing trials in the state justice and municipal courts shall govern the procedure and practice of the municipal court, and the city commission may prescribe such additional rules of practice and procedure as may not be inconsistent with state law.

The presiding judge of the municipal court is hereby enabled and authorized to, within his sole discretion, grant deferred adjudication in accordance with Vernon’s Ann. C.C.P. article 45.051.
