It is ordered that the city accept and does hereby accept the
provisions of title 28 of the 1925 Revised Civil Statutes of Texas
and all amendments thereto, in lieu of any existing charter, and that
a copy of these proceedings signed by the mayor and attested by the
secretary under the corporate seal of the city, be filed and recorded
in the office of the county clerk, and that the provisions of said
title 28 shall be in force, and all acts heretofore passed incorporating
said city, which may be in force by virtue of any existing charter,
shall be repealed from and after the filing of said copy of these
proceedings, as aforesaid, and the said city shall thereafter be known
as a city subject to the provisions of said title 28, and vested with
all the rights, powers, privileges and immunities and franchises therein
conferred.
