(a) 
The city hereby offers a reward of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the arrest and conviction of any person or persons found guilty of committing the crime of arson within the corporate limits of said city.
(b) 
The city council shall be the sole and exclusive judge in determining eligibility for the reward as established by this article.
(c) 
This reward is a standing offer, and shall be paid out of the general funds of the city.

(a) 
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to make or kindle, or cause to be made or kindled any fire or fires in the open air except in accordance with regulations as established by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
(b) 
Any person, firm or corporation who shall fail to comply with any of the provisions hereof, shall upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine in accordance with the general penalty provision found in section 1.01.009 of this code.

(a) 
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to fire or cause to be fired or to explode or cause to be exploded any firecrackers, torpedoes or fireworks of any kind or nature or any other explosives within the city.
(b) 
It is further provided that no person, firm or corporation shall sell or offer for sale any firecrackers, fireworks, torpedoes or other explosives used for amusement only within the corporate limits of the city.
(c) 
Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this article shall be deemed guilty of an offense and upon conviction thereof shall be liable to a fine in accordance with the general penalty provision found in section 1.01.009 of this code.
