A charge of one dollar ($1.00) for turning water out of supply
pipes shall be assessed and collected and one dollar ($1.00) for turning
the water into the supply pipes shall be paid to the city collector
of the water works before the water shall be turned into supply.

Effective October 1, 2007 and thereafter, the city administrator
shall assess and fix rates and fees for the use by a partnership,
company, association, institution, government agency, and/or connection
with the city water systems, or sewer systems, for service to his,
their, or its property, on the following basis:
(1) Water rates.

(a) Beginning
with the effective billing date for October 1, 2011, there shall be
charged by the city for the collection of trash and garbage by IESI
Texas Corp., Inc. and personnel, in the streets and alleyways affronting
the property of residences, business, government institutions, and
so forth; the charge for such sanitary services shall be as follows,
to-wit:
(1) Residential garbage collection.
One (1) time per week,
one (1) 90-gallon poly cart placed at the curbside. The monthly charge
for this service shall be $29.20 per residence. An additional poly
cart for once a week collection (collected at same time the first
cart is collected) will be offered at the rate of $11.73. Residential
garbage collection day will be Wednesday.
(2) Commercial garbage collection.
(A) One (1) time per week.
Collection day will be Friday
and rates will be as follows:
(i)
2 cubic yard container: $71.13.
(ii)
4 cubic yard container: $104.14.
(iii)
6 cubic yard container: $138.26.
(iv)
8 cubic yard container: $172.41.
(B) Two (2) times per week.
Collection days will be Tuesday
and Friday and rates will be as follows:
(i)
4 cubic yard container: $186.08.
(ii)
6 cubic yard container: $234.04.
(iii)
8 cubic yard container: $291.91.
Any commercial account needing more than one container will
be charged the above-referenced price per extra container. Any commercial
account needing additional lifts will be charged an extra fee.
(b) The
city shall assess a solid waste or garbage fee each month for each
occupied structure which is serviced by city water, or is being renovated
or repaired.
(c) Residential
fees shall be payable to and collected by the city as provided for
in previous ordinances. Commercial fees shall be payable to and collected
by IESI, with the exception of 90-gallon polycart containers that
may be billed by either IESI or the city.
(d) In
the event any person or persons, firm or corporation shall fail and
refuse to pay said garbage collection fee, the city shall have the
right and authority to discontinue the further use of water service
to said person or persons, firm or corporation as the city would have
if said water bill had not been paid. Additionally, if any person
or persons, firm or corporation shall fail and refuse to pay for commercial
garbage service, IESI is hereby authorized to remove said person or
persons, firm or corporation’s garbage container until such
time as the fees have been paid in full. In that event, a collection
fee equal to the current cost of a 90-gallon polycart will be assessed
monthly by the city for all occupied structures or structures under
renovation or repair.
(e) With
council approval, IESI Texas Corp., Inc. is authorized to bill the
city a monthly fuel surcharge based on the price of diesel. The city
is authorized to pass the fuel surcharge along to residential and
commercial customers as needed.

Due to the increased rates and volume charged to the city to
have the roll-offs at the collection center emptied, the fees to be
charged at the city-owned collection center are:
(1) Residential.
(G) Height limit is 18" applies to all the above. Loads over 18" in height,
rates double.
(2) Commercial.
(C) Trailers over 8': $50.00 plus $5.00 per ft. over 8'.
(D) 3 yard dump truck: $60.00.
(E) Height limit is 18" applies to all the above. Loads over 18" in height,
rates double.
