It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge any gun, pistol
or firearm of any kind, or to discharge an air rifle or air pistol
of any description by whatever name known that by means of compressed
air, compressed gas, springs, or any other means is capable of discharging
shots, pellets, or any solid object at a velocity in excess of three
hundred (300) feet per second, or to discharge any cannon cracker
or torpedo on or across any public square, street or alley within
three hundred (300) feet of any business establishment or residence
in the city. A “cannon cracker” is any combustible package
more than two (2) inches long and more than one (1) inch through.
