The Board of Supervisors of Caernarvon Township hereby determine that due to hazardous traffic conditions and other safety factors, it is necessary and appropriate to prohibit the operation of certain vehicles upon sections of certain highways within Caernarvon Township.
A. 
Therefore, it shall be unlawful for any person to operate any commercial vehicle in excess of 10,000 pounds upon the following highways in the Township:

Therefore, it shall be unlawful for any person to operate any truck in excess of 35 feet in length and all combinations of truck tractors and trailers anywhere on Quarry Road between Morgantown Road (SR-10) and Morgan Way in Caernarvon Township.

Any person who shall violate any provisions of this article shall be guilty of a summary offense and, upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $500; provided, however, that nothing herein shall prohibit the operation of any commercial vehicle or tractor upon any highway or portion thereof listed hereinabove where such operation shall be necessary in order to pick up and deliver any goods, wares, merchandise or materials to or from any premises located upon any such highway or portion thereof.
Any prior ordinance or part of ordinance inconsistent herewith, including Ordinance No. 131, is hereby repealed to the extent of its inconsistence.
