Ordinances calling elections as well as those certifying election
results for the imposition of sales and use taxes are on file in the
office of the city secretary.

The city council does hereby elect to continue the imposition
of the 1% city sales tax on residential use of gas and electricity
within the city.

(a)
The city hereby adopts all taxes authorized by State of Texas House
Bill Number 1949, 1985 Texas Legislative Session, 69th Legislative
Session, chapter 206.
(b)
The city hereby repeals the application of the exemption provided
for in V.T.C.A., Tax Code, sec. 321.210(a) effective on the earliest
date permitted by said statute.
