There is hereby established the office of city attorney of the City of Pineland. The city attorney shall serve as municipal court prosecutor and provide advice and assistance to the city on legal matters when requested by the mayor or city council. The city attorney shall receive compensation as may be prescribed by the city council. The city attorney shall be appointed and may be removed by a majority vote of the city council.
