The city council is hereby authorized to establish and to designate by resolution or ordinance, and shall thereafter maintain or cause to be maintained, by appropriate devices, marks, or lines upon the surface of the roadway, crosswalks at intersections where, in its opinion, there is particular danger to pedestrians crossing the roadway, and at such other places as it may deem necessary.

(a) 
The city council shall have authority by resolution or ordinance to determine the location of passenger zones and leading zones and shall erect and maintain or cause to be maintained appropriate signs indicating the same.
(b) 
It shall be unlawful for the operator of a vehicle to stop, stand, or park said vehicle for a period of time longer than necessary for the expeditious loading or unloading of passengers in any place marked as a passenger zone.
(c) 
It shall be unlawful for the operator of a vehicle to stop, stand, or park said vehicle for a period of time longer than is necessary for the expeditious loading or unloading of passengers or for the unloading and delivery or pick up and loading materials, in any place marked as a loading zone. In no case shall the stop for loading and for unloading of materials exceed thirty (30) minutes.

(a) 
The city council shall have the right, by resolution or ordinance, to establish bus stops and taxicab stands on such public streets in such places and in such number as it shall determine to be of the greatest benefit and convenience to the public, and every such bus stop and taxicab stand so established shall be designated by appropriate signs.
(b) 
It shall be unlawful for the operator or driver of any vehicle other than a bus to stand or park in an officially designated bus stop, or for any vehicle other than a bus or taxicab to stand or park in an officially designated taxicab stand, except that the operator or driver of any passenger vehicle may temporarily stop in any such stop or stand for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading passengers.
(c) 
It shall be unlawful for the operator of any bus or taxicab to stand or park upon any street in any business district at any place other than at a bus stop or taxicab stand respectively, except that this provision shall not prevent the operator of any such vehicle from temporarily stopping in accordance with other stopping or parking regulations at any place for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading passengers.

(a) 
It shall be unlawful for any operator to stop, stand, or park any vehicle upon a street, other than an alley, in such manner or under such conditions as to leave available less than ten feet (10') of the width of the roadway free for movement of vehicular traffic, except on streets on which no parking is allowed during the actual unloading or loading of passengers, or when necessary in obedience to traffic regulations or traffic signs, signals, or a police officer.
(b) 
It shall be unlawful for any operator to park a vehicle within an alley in such manner or under such conditions as to leave available, less than ten feet (10') of the width of the roadway for the free movement of vehicular traffic.
(c) 
It shall be unlawful for any operator to park any vehicle within three hundred feet (300') of any burning building, structure, or thing where a fire fighting apparatus is being used for the purpose of extinguishing same, except under the direction of the fire chief or other officer of the fire department, or a police officer of the city.

The operator or driver of any vehicle shall not park such vehicle between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. of any day within the district or streets designated by the city council, by resolution or ordinance, except in accordance with the time limit specified on the official signs and signals and other provisions of this article; Sundays and legal holidays excepted. Signs shall be placed or erected and maintained in each block designating the provisions of this article upon the passage of such resolution or ordinance

It shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to park certain vehicles for a period of time longer than thirty (30) minutes between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on any street so designated by the city council by resolution or ordinance.

An official of the City of Pineland, or any other officer or any agent of the city, is hereby given authority to tow or cause to be towed to the city pound or other place designated by the mayor as a pound, any vehicle which is parked in violation of any of the provisions of this article.

The city council shall establish, in accordance with Article 6675a-5e.1, V.T.C.S. of Texas, suitable parking spaces or areas for the exclusive use of motor vehicles transporting persons who are disabled as defined in such statute. Unauthorized use of such designated parking spaces or areas shall be penalized as provided by the aforesaid Article 6675a-5e.1, V.T.C.S. of Texas. The mayor shall cause to be erected signs that conform to the design and posting requirements of Article 6675 a-5e.1, V.T.C.S. of designate such parking spaces established by the city council.

(a) 
Parking will be prohibited on either side of U.S. Highway 96 for a distance of two hundred (200) feet both north and south of the intersection of F.M. 83. Parking will also be prohibited on either side of F.M. 83 for a distance of two hundred (200) feet east of the intersection of U.S. Highway 96.
(b) 
It shall be unlawful for any person to park on that portion of U.S. Highway 96 and that portion of F.M. 83 as designated above as “No Parking” and the penalties as set out in this code will be applicable to anyone violating this article.

No parking, stopping or standing will be permitted on the east or west side of F.M. Highway 1, a/k/a Temple Avenue from its intersection with F.M. Highway 2426 (southern end) and to the north city limit boundary of FM Highway 1 a/k/a Temple Avenue.
