There are hereby adopted by and for the city the 2009 edition
of the International Plumbing Code and the 2009 edition of the International
Fuel Gas Code, each published by the International Code Council, each
incorporated as if set out fully herein, and a copy of each available
in the office of the city secretary.

In the event of any conflict with the provisions of the codes
adopted by the provisions of this division and the provisions of this
Code of Ordinances, state law or city ordinances, rules or regulations,
the provisions of this Code of Ordinances, state or law or city ordinances,
rules or regulations shall prevail and be controlling.

(a) Whenever
the term “municipality” or “city” is used
in the codes adopted by this division, it shall be construed to mean
the city.
(b) Whenever
the term “corporate counsel” or “city attorney”
is used in the codes adopted by this division, it shall be construed
to mean the city attorney of this city.

Any person who shall violate any provision of the codes adopted by the provisions of this division shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished in accordance with the general penalty provision set forth in section
1.01.009 of this code. Each day such violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense.

Applicable portions of the International Fuel Gas Code are amended
to read:
(1) Standards for installation of liquefied petroleum gas equipment and
for handling of LPG.
Installation of liquefied petroleum
gas equipment and handling of LPG shall be in conformity with the
provisions of this division, with the statutes of the state, and with
the safety rules of the liquefied petroleum gas division which contains
the safety rules, regulations and/or standards promulgated by the
state railroad commission covering the handling and odorization of
liquefied petroleum gases and specifications for the design, construction,
installation and equipment used in the transportation, storage and
dispensing of liquefied petroleum gases.
(2) Record of installations.
Each person, firm or corporation
installing liquefied petroleum gas equipment, other than replacing
of approved portable cylinders, in the city shall keep a record of
each installation, showing the name and address of the customer at
whose place the liquefied petroleum gas equipment has been installed
and the date of the installation, and shall disclose such record to
the building official, at any time, upon his request, during regular
business hours.
