For the purpose of this division the term “board”
shall mean the Coleman Municipal Airport Advisory Board.

Acting under the authority granted by the city charter, article
XII, and section 12.01; there is hereby created an airport advisory board to be known as the Coleman Municipal Airport Advisory Board.

The airport advisory board shall serve in an advisory and support
role to the city and airport managers for the purpose of developing
sound management and operational procedures and engage in long term
planning for the development of the Coleman Municipal Airport. All
decisions made by the board are subject to the final approval of the
city council and are subject to state and federal law and regulations.
The city council holds paramount authority over all matters affecting
the budget, expenditures and/or the purchase and sale of property.

The membership for the board shall be composed of five (5) members,
to be appointed by the city council, together with the city manager
and the airport manager as ex-officio members.

Except for initial one-year appointments, the term of office
shall be two-year appointments unless removed by the city council
at an earlier time.

Board members may not receive any compensation for service on
the airport advisory board.
