A. 
Notwithstanding anything in this Village Code to the contrary, no person shall keep, harbor, or shelter any rooster or peafowl in the Village of Scarsdale.
B. 
Any rooster or peafowl existing within the Village of Scarsdale on the effective date of this article shall be removed permanently from the Village within 60 days of such effective date.
Penalties for offenses of this article shall be as provided in § 1-14 of this Village Code. In addition, the owner or occupant of property on which any rooster or peafowl may be found shall be responsible at its sole cost and expense to remove same permanently from the property within 24 hours of the issuance of a violation therefor. Each day that a violation shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.
