The discharging of firearms within the city limits is hereby
prohibited. Nothing in this section shall be held to prohibit persons
in the military service, police officers or firefighters from discharging
firearms in the city while in the proper performance of their duty
nor prohibit a citizen from discharging firearms in the city under
such circumstances as may be proper and necessary in the defense of
his/her person or property.

(a)
It
shall be unlawful for any person to shoot or discharge any air gun
or air rifle of any description within the city.
(b)
The
term “air gun” or “air rifle” is meant to
be any instrument or weapon which propels a bullet or other hard pellet
with a carrying force as much as twenty-five feet (25').
