In accordance with Local Government Code (LGC) chapter 52, § 52.004, the city council does hereby designate the Jacksonville Daily Progress, a public newspaper of general circulation within the city as the city's official newspaper, and to continue as such until another newspaper is designated. Further, the city's use of said newspaper is for all purposes hereby ratified and confirmed.
