(a) 
General prohibition.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to keep livestock within the city limits.
(b) 
Allowable keeping of livestock.
Livestock may be kept within the city provided they comply with one of the following exceptions and are kept in compliance with all other provisions of this chapter:
(1) 
Livestock may be transported through the city provided they do not remain within the city limits for more than 12 hours.
(2) 
Livestock may be kept within the city for a time not to exceed 24 hours for the purpose of performing in circuses, parades, rodeos and other public exhibitions.
(3) 
Livestock may be kept in that part of the city which is within 300 feet of the city limits provided that they are not located within 50 feet of a structure that is occupied by any person any part of the day or night.

Each place in the city used for keeping any livestock shall be kept free of offensive odors, flies and rodents, and shall have a suitable manure box or container in which all manure and droppings shall be placed daily. Each such box or container shall be securely screened or otherwise protected from flies, vermin and rodents and shall be cleaned out and disinfected at least once a week. Manure from such boxes shall not be left in open stacks but shall be removed or buried.

It shall be unlawful for any person to keep any livestock in or on any lot, pen, building, parcel of land, stable or other enclosure in the city, any part of which lot, pen, building, stable, parcel of land or other enclosure is nearer than 50 feet to any building occupied by any person any part of the day or night. A minimum of 400 square feet of area shall be required for such animal unit, and not more than two animal units shall be in any lot, pen, building, stable, enclosure or parcel of land. An animal unit is defined as follows: four sheep, four goats, one horse, one cow, one mule, one donkey.

The provisions with regard to minimum area requirements for animals shall not apply to slaughterhouses if the keeping of animals is incidental to slaughtering them and is for a temporary period not exceeding seven days.

It shall be unlawful for any person to keep any livestock within the corporate limits of the city without first having the animal vaccinated against rabies annually.

(a) 
General prohibition.
Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, it shall be unlawful for any person to keep any swine within the city limits at any time, for any reason.
(b) 
Allowable keeping of swine.
It shall be unlawful for any person to keep live swine within the limits of the city, except for the keeping of live swine under direct supervision by and upon premises owned by public schools.
(c) 
Penalty.
Any person, firm or individual who shall violate any of the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in a sum in accordance with the general penalty provided in section 1.01.009 of this code. Each and every day the violation continues shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.

(a) 
Prohibition.
No person shall keep, raise and confine at any place or location within the incorporated limits of the city living chickens, turkeys, ducks, guinea fowl and pheasants, or any one of such types of poultry.
(b) 
Enforcement.
It shall be the duty of the city police, city officials and other peace officers of the city to make inspections to determine violations of this section and to report such violations to city hall.
(c) 
Notice of violation.
It shall be the duty of the city secretary by letter to notify such person violating the provisions of this section of a reported violation of this section. The owner or owners of poultry shall have 24 hours after receipt of such written notice within which to remove such poultry from the city limits.
(d) 
Penalty.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction shall be fined in accordance with the general penalty provided in section 1.01.009 of this code.
