In the event any provision of the building and construction technical codes adopted by this article conflicts with a provision of this Code of Ordinances or state law, the provisions of state law or of this Code of Ordinances shall prevail and be controlling.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
Corporation counsel.
Whenever the term “corporation counsel” is used in the codes adopted by this article, it means the city attorney.
Municipality.
Whenever the term “municipality” is used in the codes adopted by this article, it means the City of Forest Hill, Texas.

Any person who shall violate any provision of the codes adopted by the provisions of this article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be punished as provided by section 1.01.009. Each day such violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense.
