Water to be hauled to any location for any use may be obtained from the City of Pottsboro from the city fire hydrant located at the corner of Franklin Street (FM 996) and Front Avenue (next to the Pottsboro City Hall) or any other location specifically designated by the city administrator or other city official delegated such authority by the city administrator.

Bulk water customers are required to secure from the city secretary a permit containing the following information: The name of the user (customer); the license number of the vehicle used to transport the water; the tank size of such vehicle; the date and time of the transaction; the amount of water acquired at such transaction. A permit is required for each individual transaction, unless prior arrangements have been made with the city administrator and written approval secured.

Any repairs necessitated by damage determined by the city administrator to have been caused by the user shall be made and the expense thereof paid by the user.

The meter deposit fees and water rates for bulk water sales under the provisions of this article shall be as provided for in the fee schedule in the appendix of this code.

Individuals and companies obtaining water through a fire hydrant will be billed upon receipt of forms showing amounts used and obtained through the fire hydrant. Payment in all cases shall be promptly made by all persons and companies billed.

Any individual or contractor failing to pay for water consumed within fifteen (15) days after date of billing shall not be allowed further water until all amounts due are paid and until a deposit as provided for in the fee schedule in the appendix of this code is paid to the city secretary to secure payment of future bills.

It shall be unlawful for any individual or company, corporation, partnership, or association to obtain bulk water through city fire hydrants for any purposes, in any manner other than as provided in this article.
(b) 
It shall be unlawful for any individual or company, corporation, partnership, or association to obtain bulk water in any manner other than as provided in this article.

Upon conviction of violation hereof, penalty shall be by fine in accordance with the general penalty provision in Section 1.109 of this code. Each violation shall constitute a separate offense.
