The city council hereby adopts the following technical codes, which are on file in the city secretary’s office and are in effect in the city in their entirety:

The International Property Maintenance Code;
(2) 
The Housing Code;
(3) 
The International Building Code;
(4) 
The International Residential Code;
(5) 
The International Plumbing Code;
(6) 
The International Mechanical Code;
(7) 
The International Fuel Gas Code;
(8) 
The National Electrical Code;
(9) 
The Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1985 edition, as amended in this chapter.

That certain document, copies of which are on file in the office of the city secretary, being marked and designated as the International Residential Code, including appendix chapters, as published by the International Code Council, is hereby adopted as the code of the city for regulating the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of one- and two-family dwellings and townhouses not more than three (3) stories in height in the city, and providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor, and each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of such International Residential Code, 2000 edition, published by the International Code Council, on file in the office of the city, are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this division.
