(a) 
The city manager, with the approval of the city council, is hereby authorized to determine and designate by proper signs places in which the stopping, standing or parking of vehicles would create an especially hazardous condition or would cause unusual delay to traffic.
(b) 
When official signs are erected at hazardous or congested places as authorized by this section, no person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle in any such designated place.

(a) 
The city shall hereby require diagonal parking only on Main Street between First and Seventh Streets.
(b) 
This section shall modify the traffic laws of the City of Panhandle, further defined or set out in V.A.C.S. Article 6701d, Section 96.
(c) 
Nothing contained in this section shall be construed as now or hereafter limiting or modifying, in any manner, the right and power of the city under the law to modify parking regulations within the city limits.
