(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to ride on the fender, running
board, hood or any other part of a motor vehicle not intended for
use of passengers.
(b) Any person violating any portion of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined in accordance with section
1.01.009 of this code.

(a) No person shall operate or run on any public streets of the city any vehicle which has on its periphery any block, lug, stud, cleat, ridge, bead or any other protuberance of metal that shall project more than one-eighth of an inch beyond the tread or traction surface of the tire, unless the wheels are protected by bands, wooden blocks, skids or some sufficient device to protect the street against injury by reason thereof. Nothing herein shall prevent the use of traction engines with cleats on the driving wheels thereof on dirt or unimproved streets. Whoever violates any provision of this section shall be fined in accordance with section
1.01.009 of this code.
(b) Whoever shall operate or permit to be operated upon a public street of the city a motor vehicle, trailer, semi-trailer or tractor equipped with solid rubber tires less than one inch in thickness at any point from the surface to the rim or if equipped with pneumatic tires when one or more of such tires has been removed shall be fined in accordance with section
1.01.009 of this code.

(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to operate anywhere within the
city limits a motor vehicle or motorcycle which is equipped with a
muffler cut-out.
(b) It shall be unlawful for any person to operate anywhere within the
city limits a motor vehicle or motorcycle or any other motor-driven
conveyance without having thereon devices in good working order which
shall at all times be in constant operation to prevent excessive or
unusual noises.
(c) It shall be unlawful for any person operating any motor-driven conveyance
to intentionally cause such motor to backfire or to intentionally
cause such motor to make unnecessary noises.
(d) Any person violating any part of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in accordance with section
1.01.009 of this code.

(a) Restricted.
It shall be unlawful for any driver of a
truck or truck-tractor to activate or use the unit’s engine
(“jake”) brake within the city limits except in an emergency
situation.
(b) Emergency situation defined.
The term “emergency
situation,” for the purposes of this section, shall mean one
in which there is imminent danger of collision with property, persons
or animals.
(c) Penalty.
Any person or persons violating or failing to comply with any provision of this section shall be fined, upon conviction, in accordance with section
1.01.009 of this code for each offense, and each day any violation or noncompliance continues shall constitute a separate offense.

(a) No person shall ride or propel a skateboard upon a roadway at a speed
greater than is or in a manner other than is reasonable or prudent
having due regard for weather, visibility, and the traffic on and
the grade, surface, and width of the roadway, and in no event at a
speed or in a manner which endangers his safety or the safety of other
persons or property.
(b) No person shall ride or propel a skateboard on any roadway which
has been divided into two or more clearly marked lanes for traffic
in each direction or on any highway frontage road.
(c) No person riding or propelling a skateboard on a roadway shall attach
the same or himself to any vehicle, animal, or bicycle.
(d) No person shall ride or propel a skateboard within one hundred (100)
feet of his approach to or departure from any intersection of highways
or within any such intersection.
(e) No person shall ride or propel a skateboard on or across any roadway
in such a manner as to interfere with the movement of vehicles thereon.
(f) No person shall ride or propel a skateboard in the streets or sidewalks
of any business district in the city.
(g) No person shall ride or propel a skateboard on a roadway during the
hours of darkness.
(h) No person riding or propelling a skateboard on a roadway shall carry
any package, bundle, or article in his hands.
(i) No person shall ride or propel a skateboard on a private parking
lot without the owner’s permission.
(j) Any person or persons violating or failing to comply with any provision of this section shall be fined, upon conviction, in accordance with section
1.01.009 of this code.
