A.
All residences and commercial businesses shall have the numbers of their street addresses conspicuously posted upon such structures or elsewhere in a manner clearly visible from the nearest public street to the front of such structure.
B.
The purpose of this Section is to enable providers of fire protection, ambulance, law enforcement and other emergency services to better find the location when responding to a 911 emergency.
C.
Fire Chief To Enforce.
1.
It is to be the responsibility of the Chief of the Clarksburg Fire Department to monitor compliance with this Section. Any property owner not complying with this Section shall be provided either by personal notice or by posting of notice upon such structure by the Chief that the deficiency shall be cured within fifteen (15) days in order to avoid prosecution.[1]

The Fire Chief shall certify to the Police Chief the name of any property owner who is not complying with this Section following the fifteen-day period.[2]

D.
Upon certification by the Fire Chief to the Police Chief of noncompliance by any property owner, the Police Chief shall thereupon issue a summons to the violator.
