A $20.00 city handling charge will be added to every permit.

The following schedule of fees shall be charged for permits
for the construction of buildings and other construction inside the
city limits and for the alteration of and addition to existing buildings:
(1) All
residential new construction; includes residential plan review and
inspections:
(A) Up
to and including 4000 square feet total area: $650.00.
(B) 4001
square feet and greater in total area: $650.00 per house plus $0.10
per square foot beyond 4001 square feet.
(C) Plan
review resubmittals: Included in price package.
(D) Reinspections:
2 included in price package; additional reinspections will be billed
at $65.00 per stop.
(2) Additions,
alterations, repairs, demolition, screening walls, retaining walls
and accessory buildings (includes residential and commercial).
The following fees shall be charged for small construction jobs
involving additions, alterations, and repairs. Larger projects that
involve substantial work shall be charged as new construction at the
discretion of the building official. This includes plan review.

Any activity listed below shall be charged the
following fee associated with the activity:
(A) Fence permit:
$35.00 (no handling charge).
(B) In-ground swimming pool:
$290.00.
(C) Spa or above-ground pool:
$75.00.
(4) Inspections
only.
The city may choose to utilize inspection only
services at the following rates:
(A) Inspections
or reinspections shall be charged at a fee of $75.00 for each inspection
stop.

The application must be made by the owner of the project and
be accompanied by a fee of one percent (1%) of the projected construction
cost of the system, but in no event to exceed $50,000.00. Said fee
shall be used to defray the city’s expense in studying the proposed
project, including the cost of engineering fees.

If the city secretary approves the application for a permit
to be issued to the applicant to move a house, manufactured house,
or manufactured or site-built outbuilding of any nature larger than
500 square feet to or within the corporate city limits, the applicant
must pay a permit fee of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) to the
city.
