(a) 
The following fees are established for the city:
(1) 
Building code permits (city does not inspect): New construction, expansion and manufactured homes installation: Construction being 10 cents per square foot for residential permits and 15 cents for commercial permits. New construction permits are valid for 1 year for date of issue. Carports and storage buildings will be $25.00 for permits and permit will be valid for 6 months from date of issue.
(b) 
All required inspections shall be paid for by the permittee, who shall either:
(1) 
Employ a certified inspector who shall report to the city; or
(2) 
Upon approval of the city council, reimburse the city for the cost of a certified inspector employed by the city.
