The model subdivision rules promulgated by the Texas Water Development
Board pursuant to Section 16.342 of the Texas Water Code, which are
set forth in Appendix C to Ordinance 174-05, are hereby adopted, and
shall apply to all areas included within the city limits as they now
exist or may be enlarged at any time, and also to all areas included
within the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction as it now exists
or may be enlarged at any time.

It shall be unlawful for any person to construct, lay out, or
offer lots or tracts of land for sale or development, unless that
person has complied with the requirements of this article.

The subdivision ordinance, Ordinance 178-06, adopted by the
city on October 9, 2006, as amended, is included at the end of this
chapter as exhibit A. Due to the nature of the subdivision ordinance
and the technicalities involved in adopting or amending it, such ordinance
is printed herein as enacted, with only nonsubstantive formatting
and style changes. Capitalization, punctuation and numbering of articles,
sections and subsections have been retained. Amendments will be inserted
in their proper place and denoted by a history note following the
amended provisions. The absence of a history note indicates the material
is unchanged from the original. Obviously misspelled words have been
corrected without notation. Any other material added for purposes
of clarification is enclosed in brackets.
