(a)
Water and gas metering devices shall be installed by the city in a location readily accessible for reading. The city reserves the right to provide or request protective covering for the meter. All meter boxes or vaults shall be installed by the city.
(b)
The city shall specify the fittings and equipment for installation of meters. The water meters and boxes or gas meters shall be placed on or near city property or public property with proper easement. All pipes, cocks, valves, and boxes shall be installed by the city.
