Copies of Ordinance 05-09-03 and the 2003 edition of the International Building Code as published by the International Code Council will be kept on file in the office of the city secretary. This code regulates and governs construction, maintenance, and conditions for all property, dwellings, structures, and assets to ensure that safe and sound conditions are in place for human occupancy within the city limits.

The geographical limits referred to in certain sections of the 2003 International Building Code are hereby set and intended to include all of the area within the corporate city limits, as adopted and approved by the city council.

Any person, persons, citizen, corporation, business, or employee thereof who violates any provision of this division or any section or subsection of this division, upon conviction, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof in municipal court, shall be subject to a fine in a sum not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or the current maximum allowable by state law. Each day in violation shall be considered a separate offense.
