Every driver of a vehicle approaching any of the following yield
intersections shall slow down, or stop if necessary, before or at
the point nearest the intersecting roadway where the driver has a
view of approaching traffic on the intersecting roadway and may proceed
thereafter only when such driver may safely enter the intersection
without interference or collision with traffic or pedestrians:
