All easements and construction must be approved by the city
prior to backfill. Sewer ditches shall not accommodate other utilities.
Spacing, type of pipe, fitting employment, cover and drainage allowance
must be according to manufacturer’s specifications and approved
by the city before acceptance.

Cover shall be at least twelve inches (12") and horizontal drainage
shall have a fall of not less than one-eighth inch (1/8") per foot,
and four inches (4") in diameter with cleanout installed.

It shall be unlawful for any person to deposit by any means
into the building drainage system or sewer any ashes, cinders, rags,
poisonous or explosive liquids, gases, oils, grease or any other material
which would or could obstruct, damage, or overload such system or
sewer.

It shall be the responsibility of the city to maintain in a
healthful state and in working order the sewer line from the point
of origin on private property to the point of juncture with the city
sanitary main on public property.

Commercial services may deposit or discharge treated wastewater
at the wastewater treatment plant subject to the following conditions:
(1) The fee in the fee schedule in appendix A of this code must be paid
at city hall before a discharge or deposit is made;
(2) The deposit or discharge must be made during normal business hours;
and
(3) A city employee must be present when the deposit or discharge takes
place.
