The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
All sanitary sewer systems and extensions or enlargements owned or operated by the city or in which the city has as an equity of ownership, and there is specifically included the systems that have been constructed by the city and those systems constructed by persons and which have heretofore been or hereafter may be acquired by the city by operation of or as authorized by law.
Commercial user.
Any business or establishment which does not meet the definition of industrial user or the definition of residential user in this article.
Duplex residence.
A single building equipped for occupancy by two families.
Multiple dwelling units.
One or more buildings, each equipped for occupancy by three or more families.
Single-family residence.
A residential establishment serving a single family or household, and may or may not include separate living quarters. In those instances where there is no meter on the water supply to the principal household, separate living quarters will be considered as a separate residence and a separate sewer charge will be applied.
