A certain document, one copy of which is on file and is open for the inspection of the public in the office of the city manager, being marked and designated as the International Fuel Gas Code, 2021 edition, including appendix chapters A, B, C and D as published by the International Code Council, is hereby adopted as the fuel gas code of the city, in the state for regulating and governing fuel gas systems and gas-fired appliances as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and the collection of fees therefor; and each and all regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions of terms of said fuel gas code on file in the office of the city manager are hereby referred to, adopted, made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this division, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in section 3.02.362.

The following sections of the fuel gas code are hereby revised:
Section 101.1, Administration. Insert: (City of Denver City)
Section 115.4. Insert: (misdemeanor, not to exceed $500.00)

Whenever in the fuel gas code an act is prohibited or made or declared to be unlawful, is made an offense or misdemeanor, or wherever in such code the doing of an act is declared to be unlawful, the penalty for the violation of any provision of such code shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $500.00: provided, however, that no penalty shall be greater or less that the penalty provided for the same or similar offense under the laws of the state. Each day any violation of such codes shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.

The city reserves the right at any time, to change, amend, alter, repeal, rescind, or add to these rules and regulations or any part thereof or to adopt any new rule or regulations or any temporary exception with the respect to the International Fuel Gas Code or anything pertaining thereto.
