All citizens are required to use the trash containers (dumpsters) for all refuse (excluding wood, trees, furniture, etc.) of the household, and no one shall be allowed to place or pile refuse trees, furniture or other types of refuse. (Refuse is designated as that material that has been discarded by residents of the city or citizens of the city.) Anyone, owner, renter, or lessee, that has refuse placed or piled in the alleys or streets of his residence shall be responsible for the same, and the city has the right to remove or require the resident/residents to remove the refuse. When the city removes the refuse there will be a service charge to the resident/residents to remove the refuse.

(a) 
Collection station hours.
(1) 
Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays: 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
(2) 
Closed during holidays and inclement weather.
(b) 
Fee schedule.
(1) 
Fee will be $2.00 per month for residential and $3.25 for commercial use, to be billed on water bill accounts. Customers wanting access to the collection station are required to have a bill with them for admittance into the collection station.
(2) 
County residence can use the collection station with an access fee of $10.00 per pick-up load and $20.00 per month per small trailer load.
(3) 
Tire disposal fee:
(A) 
Auto: $3.00.
(B) 
Truck: $7.50 (small tractor, pivot, and heavy duty).
(C) 
Big tractor: $35.00.
(c) 
Rules for disposal.
(1) 
Items allowed to be dropped off at the collection station are as follows: Furniture, mattresses, brush, sheetrock, boards, bricks, roofing material in small quantities, carpet, tree limbs, tires metal, and appliances.
(2) 
Exceptions are as follows: Refrigerators, air conditioners, and any other items with Freon must have tag showing the Freon has been removed.
(3) 
Prohibited items are as follows: Hazardous materials, pesticides, herbicides, rodent ides, radioactive material, explosives, medical waste, yard clippings, computers, printers, televisions, large construction/demolition debris. Any items that fit and belong in the dumpster.

Any person who removes any item of solid waste from the collection station at any time shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor for removal of solid waste, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not less than $100.00 and not more than $2,000.00 due to the fact that proper collection, storage, and disposal of solid waste is a health and safety issue for the city. Each and every day that this section is violated shall be held to be a separate and distinct offense.
