The city council, when on official business of the city, incurs expenses related to their duties. Those expenses incurred by members of the city council should be reimbursed. There shall be monies provided in the annual budget to cover such expenses incurred by members of the city council. Therefore, be it ordained that:
(1)
Those expenses incurred by members of the city council be reimbursed.
(2)
The annual budget will have a line item designated for such purpose.
(3)
The council member must submit a receipt to the city manager to be considered by the city council at the next regular council meeting.
