The National Electrical Code, promulgated by the National Fire Protection Association, being particularly the 2002 edition thereof and the whole thereof, save and except such portions as may hereinafter be amended, is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set forth at length herein, and from the date on which this section shall take effect, the provisions therein shall be controlling for all electrical work within the area of jurisdiction of the city. At least one (1) copy of said National Electrical Code shall be filed in the office of the city secretary.
(Ordinance adopting Code)
(a) 
Any person violating any of the terms or provisions of this article or the code adopted herein shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined as provided in Section 1.109 of this code.
(b) 
Each day that any person shall continue to violate or fail to comply with a provision thereof shall be a separate offense.
(c) 
Upon conviction of the second violation, the city council shall if it deems desirable hold a public hearing for the purpose of determining whether or not said person’s certificate or license should be revoked, and if revoked it shall thereafter be void and vest no rights.
