As used in this article and other articles and chapters involving the Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
Volunteers who meet the definition of "active member" or "active life member" as established by the respective bylaws of each relevant organization, as were in effect on January 1, 1995. Probationary members are specifically excluded from this definition.
An active member, his or her spouse, and all natural or adopted dependent children under the age of 21 years of age, who are unmarried and reside at home. All persons must occupy the same residence.
Those charges established by the governing body of the Borough of Eatontown which are fully retained by the Borough of Eatontown as revenue. Specifically excluded is any portion of the fee which is collected by the Borough on behalf of another public entity, including but not limited to the State of New Jersey, County of Monmouth or an outside vendor, and real estate taxes.
The Eatontown Engine, Truck and Hose Company No. 1, now part of the Eatontown Fire Department as set forth in Chapter 20, Article V, § 20-34 of the Code of the Borough of Eatontown, and the Eatontown Volunteer Ambulance Corporation, now part of the Division of Emergency Medical Services of the Borough of Eatontown as set forth more fully in Chapter 20, Article V, § 20-35 of the Code of the Borough of Eatontown.
All state-licensed nursing homes, rest homes, health maintenance organizations, assisted-living facilities, health-care facilities providing in-patient services, and other licensed or unlicensed medical care providers with the capacity to treat 10 or more outpatients simultaneously.
