(a) 
Current license and inspection sticker required.
Only vehicles in operating condition with current license and inspection sticker may park on city streets.
(b) 
Parking in residential areas.
In residential areas, parking space is limited to curbside footage of the home owner or renter using city utilities.
(c) 
Time limit for continuous parking; storage of building materials.
No vehicles or building materials of any kind shall be parked or placed on any street for a continuous period of over 24 hours with the exception of a home or business, and this shall be limited to vehicles meeting the requirements in subsection (a) of this section.
(d) 
Vacant lots.
Vacant lots that are owned or rented that are not adjacent to the person’s home do not qualify under subsection (a) and subsection (b) of this section.
(e) 
Removal of vehicles by city.
The city will pick up any vehicles in violation of this section, place in storage, charge for moving and storage, make a reasonable effort to notify the owner and give the owner 90 days to redeem.
(f) 
Removal of hazardous vehicles or objects.
The city maintains the right to demand or remove any vehicle or object parked on a city street that creates a hazard or might reasonably be considered a hazard. Determination to be made by a police officer and the councilman. The cost shall be paid by the person causing the problem, and the penalty in accordance to the problem and the ordinance violation.

(a) 
Parking time limits.
It shall be unlawful for anyone to park a house trailer, truck, trailer or any attached vehicle over twenty-four feet long on the public streets of the city over one hour on Main Street and twelve hours on all other streets and alleyways.
(b) 
Occupancy of parked vehicle.
It shall be unlawful for anyone to park and live in a house trailer, truck or attached vehicle on a public street or alleyway. Such vehicles must be parked on approved lots only.
(c) 
Penalty.
Any person in violation of this section, upon conviction of such a violation, shall be deemed guilty and fined in the amount not to exceed $200.00 in the city court.

Parking shall be prohibited as measured forty feet (40') from either corner of all streets along Main Street (Highway 6) from Gregg Street through and including Barton Street with the exception being those streets having a traffic light (currently only Burnett Street), which will adhere to the state law concerning same, and the southeast corner of the intersection of Gregg and Main Streets, in which parking will be prohibited measuring two hundred five feet (205') from the corner in a southerly direction.
