(a) 
Fee.
The fee for water and sewer taps is as provided in the fee schedule in appendix A of this code.
(b) 
Installation of water tap.
The city will make the water tap and supply one joint of pipe. If the one joint of pipe does not reach the property line, the customer will furnish the necessary pipe to reach the property line and the city will set the meter.
(c) 
Installation of sewer tap.
The city will make the sewer tap and furnish the saddle. The customer will furnish all sewer pipe.

(a) 
The city has sole and complete authority over any and all water and sewer lines on any and all city property.
(b) 
The city has the sole right and authority to connect into and use the water and sewer lines that are on the city property for expansion or repairs or both with no remuneration to anyone, regardless of the condition the lines were installed on the city property at the time of installation.
(c) 
This section supersedes all other ordinances pertaining to private water and sewer lines on city property.

(a) 
It shall be unlawful for any contractor, whether private or commercial company, to damage or cut into a city-owned water or sewer line or privately owned water or sewer line.
(b) 
The contractor shall be liable for any damages to the city-owned or privately owned water and sewer lines.
(c) 
The contractor, before work begins, shall determine where the water and sewer lines are located and receive written authority from proper city officials before starting the project.
(d) 
All contractors shall file the name and address of the contracting company and the name and address of the company or person for whom the work is being done with the city secretary at the city hall.
(e) 
The penalty, upon conviction, shall be the repairs or payment of such repairs within thirty (30) days of the damages. If not paid in thirty days, the contractor will not be allowed to operate in the city until the repairs are paid in full.
