A. As used in this Section, the following
term shall have the meaning hereby ascribed:
DUMPSTER
A large trash receptacle designed to be hoisted and emptied into a truck, including roll-off trash containers, as well as foldable and/or collapsible receptacles. A dumpster shall not include solid waste containers as defined in Chapter
225 of the Code.
B. Placement Of A Dumpster Or Similar Trash
Receptacle On A Private Property Without First Obtaining A Permit
From The Building Commissioner. A permit fee of ten dollars ($10.00)
shall be paid at the time the permit is applied for. The permit shall
specify the time period, not exceeding thirty (30) days, during which
time the dumpster or similar trash receptacle may be kept on the property.
The permit shall also state the address of the property where the
dumpster or similar trash receptacle is to be situated and shall be
attached to the dumpster or similar trash receptacle and be visible
from the street.
C. Upon written request of the property owner
and for good cause shown and upon a finding by the Building Commissioner
that the construction, remodeling and/or reconstruction project in
which the dumpster or similar trash receptacle is being utilized is
making satisfactory progress, the Building Commissioner may grant
an extension of time, not to exceed thirty (30) days, at the same
cost as the issuance of the permit. An application for an extension
will be considered only if it is submitted in writing prior to the
expiration of the initial period of validity.
D. No dumpster or similar trash receptacle
shall obstruct any roadway, alley or sidewalk or cause any danger
to the health, safety or welfare of the public.
E. Any dumpster or similar trash receptacle
found to be in violation of this Section shall be removed upon order
by the Building Commissioner.

Portable On Demand Storage. A container designed, constructed
and commonly used for non-permanent placement on property for the
purpose of temporary storage of personal property.
STORAGE TRAILER
Any trailer used for storing items of furniture or other
household items for the residence where such trailer is parked.

time the PODS, storage trailer or similar device may be kept on the

Any owner or occupant who permits an offense as described by this Article shall be deemed to have committed an ordinance violation and shall be fined as set out in Section
100.220 of this Code.
