The arrangement, character, extent, width, grade and location of all streets shall conform to the master thoroughfare plan and other master plans of the city and shall be considered in their relation to existing and planned streets, to topographical conditions, to public convenience and safety, and in their appropriate relation to the proposed uses of the land to be served by such streets.

No street dedication shall be less than fifty (50) feet wide, nor more than one hundred (100) feet wide. Paving shall not be less than forty-two (42) feet, nor more than fifty-two (52) feet, from back to back of curbs. Paving of half-streets is prohibited. In the event the city requires a paving width greater than fifty-two (52) feet, then the city will pay the cost of such additional paving.

All new streets shall be continuations of existing streets and where possible, at the same or greater width and having the same names. Where continuation of a street is not possible, there shall be minimum offset of one hundred fifty (150) feet.

Dead-end streets may be platted only where the planning commission deems permissible and where the land adjoins property not subdivided, in which case the streets shall be carried to the boundaries thereof. Dead-end streets, designed to be so permanently, shall not be longer than six hundred (600) feet and shall be provided at the closed end with a cul-de-sac having a street property line diameter of at least one hundred (100) feet.

Acute angles at street intersections shall be avoided. All street boundary lines shall be dedicated with eleven (11) foot radii as the minimum.

Concrete sidewalks four (4) feet wide shall be installed adjacent to the curb on frontal and side streets (in case of corner lots).
