[Amended 2-8-2023 by Ord. No. 633]
A. Noncommercial dual-wheel vehicles. The Council for the Borough of
Blawnox hereby establishes an exception to the prohibition of commercial
dual-wheel vehicles on the public streets and roadways of the Borough
of Blawnox by permitting the parking of noncommercial dual-wheel vehicles
used exclusively for personal use on the public streets and roadways
of the Borough of Blawnox, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, so long
as the noncommercial dual-wheel vehicle is otherwise legally parked
in accordance with the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code and Blawnox Code
of Ordinances.
B. Recreational vehicles.
(1) For the purposes of this specific subsection (§
515-29B), the term "recreational vehicle" shall mean/include all recreational vehicles such as motorhomes, campervans, coaches, caravans, fifth-wheel trailer, popup campers, and similar such vehicles, whether in operating condition or not.
(2) The parking of any recreational vehicle as defined above is hereby
prohibited on any public streets or roadways of the Borough of Blawnox
or more than 48 hours.
C. Trailers. The parking of trailers, utilized or unutilized, is prohibited
on any public streets or roadways of the Borough of Blawnox or more
than 48 hours.
Any person who violates any provision of this article shall,
upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $50 and
costs; provided, however, that it shall be the duty of the police
officers and of parking enforcement personnel of the Borough to report
to the appropriate official all violations of any provision of this
article, indicating, in each case, the section violated, the license
number of the vehicle involved in the violation, the location where
the violation took place and any other facts that might be necessary
in order to secure a clear understanding of the circumstances attending
the violation. The police officer or other person making the report
shall also attach to or place upon every such vehicle a notice stating
that the vehicle was parked in violation of this article. The notice
shall contain instructions to the owner or driver of the vehicle that
if he or she will report to the office of the Chief of Police and
pay the sum of not more than $15 within five days after the time of
the notice, or if he or she will place the sum of not more than $15,
enclosed within the envelope provided, in the mailbox beside the front
door of the Borough Building, that act will save the violator from
prosecution and from payment of the fine and costs prescribed in the
first sentence of this section.
