A Recycling Commission is created to propose, support and monitor recycling projects, including research, demonstrations and public education, in order to increase the percentage of products which are recycled and to reduce the volume of recyclable items from being disposed of at the resource recovery facility.

A.
The Recycling Commission shall consist of five members and shall be appointed by the Northborough Board of Selectmen.
B.
The Recycling Commission shall include the membership of the current Solid Waste Committee, a citizens’ committee formed at the request of the Selectmen.
C.
The Commission may elect associate members.
